In the latest development, tickets for African Nations Championships (CHAN) games at Mandela National Stadium are set to cost more than the earlier speculated $1.

According to CK Sports, the cheapest ticket to watch matches for the delayed 2024 CHAN at Namboole will be UGX 20,000 ($5.60), not UGX 3,700 ($1).

However prices for Category 2 and Category 1 tickets are yet to be revealed.

The UGX 20,000 ticket will cater for two matches on a single day during the group stages.

Last week, the Local organizing committee assured Ugandans that they will watch the forthcoming Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) at affordable prices.

“We have been advised by CAF to make ticket prices affordable for CHAN. “At the moment, we were advised to consider a 1 $, 2 $ and 3 $ ticketing model for the ordinary, VIP and VVIP and each country will depend on that to price tickets.” Dr. Dennis K. Mugimba, the Chairperson of the Communications and Signage Committee confirmed the development

The Ugandan local organizing committee is expected to officially confirm the price tickets for the event this week. Uganda will kickoff its campaign against Algeria on 4th August at 8Pm but the first group C game at Namboole will be the contest between Niger and Guinea.
