Businessman Frank Mutalaga has been named as Bulemeezi Ssaza team Patron in a bid to boost their aspirations in the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.
Mutalaga has promised to increase Bulemeezi Ssaza team’s match allowances as well as paying their sign on fees to zero balance.
For starters, Mutalaga was instrumental during Bulemeezi’s Masaza Cup triumph in 2023 when they beat record competition winners Gomba in the final at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
He is also the main sponsor of the annual Mutalaga Christmas Cup that is played in the areas of Entebbe road.
Mutalaga’s return is a major boost for Bulemeezi who recently appointed Alex Isabirye Musongola and Simon Ddungu alias Dunga as their new coaches.
Bulemeezi are in Masengere group that has Mawokota, Buweekula, Kyaddondo, Buvuma and Bugerere.
They registered their first win of this year’s event with a narrow home win over Buvuma last weekend to go on four points in four matches. The three time competition champions next visit Bugerere at Ntenjeru on Sunday, 27th July 2025.
Bulemeezi have previously won the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized championship three times in 2012, 2019 and 2023.
