Double winning champions Vipers SC have parted ways with experienced midfielder Siraje Ssentamu, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Ssentamu is out of contract at Kitende and this website can reliably confirm that the Venoms will not extend his stay.

He returned to Vipers SC in 2019 following expiration of his contract at URA FC whom he had joined in 2017.

The experienced midfielder is the club’s most decorated player in Vipers’ history having won five league titles and four Uganda Cups.

His five league titles came in 2014/15, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2024/25 while the four Uganda Cups were in 2016, 2021, 2023 and 2025.

Ssentamu is Vipers’ most decorated player

Vipers SC kicked off their pre-season training last week under new head coach Belgian Ivan Jacky Minnaert.

They have so far signed Enock Ssebaggala, Liberian striker Mark Yallah, Nigerian winger Odili Chukwuma and Congolese Kevin Bady Dasylva.

Abdul-Karim Watambala, Patrick Paul Mbowa and Alfred Mudekereza renewed their stays at Kitende.
