Niger have become the first nation to in Uganda ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN).
The delayed CHAN tournament will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania next month.
Niger arrived in Uganda on Tuesday and will be accommodated at Protea Hotel and are in group C along with co-hosts Uganda, South Africa, Guinea and Algeria.
The West African nation will kickoff its campaign against Guinea on Monday, 4th August in the first game CHAN tournament game to be staged at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Guinea will arrive in Uganda on Thursday, 31st July at 11am as per their schedule.
Niger who are nicknamed as Mena will take part for the fifth time in its history in the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The “Mena” achieved their best-ever performance in the CHAN during the previous edition, reaching the semifinals.
