Matia Lule will continue as Police FC head coach after agreeing to terms with the Uganda Premier league side.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Lule signed a one year employment contract with the Cops that will see him manage the side until the end of the next campaign.

Lule had signed a short-term employment contract when he replaced Simon Peter Mugerwa in April this year.

Lule managed eight league games at Police FC, managing four wins, one draw, and suffered three defeats.

This website understands that goalkeeping coach Stephen Billy Kiggundu will also continue with the Cops.

Besides Police FC, Lule has previously coached KCCA FC, Express FC, Proline FC, Entebbe FC, as well as Tanzanian sides Stand FC, Mbeya City and Singida Big Stars among others.

He was also assistant coach at Tanzania Premier League side Ihefu SC alongside Fred Kajoba (RIP) until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Lule was also Uganda Cubs head coach in 2014 and assistant coach for the Uganda Cranes during the era of Sebastien Desabre.

The Cops finished the 2024/25 season in 11th position with 36 points after 30 Games and were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
