Two Uganda Premier league sides are interested in signing free agent Shafik Kagimu, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
New Uganda Premier league entrants Entebbe UPPC FC formerly Gaddafi FC and NEC FC are both courting Kagimu’s signature.
Kagimu is currently a free agent following his departure at FK Brera Strumica where he was on loan from North Macedonian topflight side FK Rabotnicki Skopje.
This website has also established that Entebbe UPPC FC are currently leading the race to sign the former URA FC skipper.
At his former side Brera Strumica, he became the second Ugandan player ever to feature for the side after winger Rogers Kassim Mato.
Kagimu joined FK Rabotnicki Skopje at the start of the 2023/24 season following a brief but successful stint with Gor Mahia in Kenya.
He played 12 games for FK Rabotnicki Skopje in the opening half of the current season and provided one assist in the process before he joined Brera Stremica midway last season.
