SC Villa have completed the signing of Kiyinda Boys goalkeeper David Lukwago, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

The Jogoos have been in the market for another goalkeeper before this transfer window closes, following the departure of Meddie Kibirige.

Lukwago has joined the 17-time Uganda Premier League champions on a two year employment contract from FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys and will compete for a starting place with Norman Angufindru and Jeans Wokorach who had a horrible 2024/25 campaign.

Lukwago is a former Express FC goalkeeper whom he joined in 2022 from the Red Eagles junior team.

SC Villa recently named Samuel Mujabi Kawalya as their goalkeeping coach replacing Yusuf Ssenyonjo.

The Jogoos have also boosted their squad with the acquisition of Ibrahim Kasinde and Ali Bayo.

Last season, SC Villa finished sixth on the Uganda Premier League table and will be aiming for a competitive 2025/26 season.
