Defender Arthur Kiggundu is a subject of contention between URA FC and Entebbe UPPC FC, Swift Sports understands.
Kiggundu signed a two year contract with URA to complete his move from Kitara FC as a free agent but was recently unveiled by UPPC FC.
Swift Sports understands that Kiggundu’s transfer to The Tax Collectors was already completed and approved pending unveiling before UPPC unveiled him as their player on Friday afternoon.
Sources reveal that the lanky defender gave URA the priority amidst several interests but only went to UPPC with an uncertain thought that his move to The Tax Collectors had fallen through in the advanced stages.
Kiggundu’s contentious move to URA makes him the fifth player to cross over to Kitara following Chrispus Kusiima, Kabon Living, Fred Amaku and Ronald Otti.
The towering left back is regarded as an integral squad player for any team due to his versatility that also pits him as a center back.
He has previously featured for SC Villa and Tooro United and notably won the league title with Express FC.
Entebbe UPPC who recently switched identity from Gaddafi FC, have so far unveiled Mustafa Mujuzi, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Steven Munguchi and Rogers Omedwa.
