Uganda Premier league side Kitara FC has named Deo Kasozi as the club’s Chief Community Resource Mobilizer.
Kasozi who previously stepped aside as the club chairman has been appointed by the board of directors in his new role for two years effective 19th August 2025.
In the statement from the club, Kasozi will spearhead the club’s efforts in mobilizing resources and strengthening partnerships.
“The Board of Directors of Kitara Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kasozi Deo as the Chief Community Resource Mobiliser for a period of two (2) years, effective 19.08.2025.” In this role, Mr. Kasozi will spearhead the club’s efforts in mobilizing resources, strengthening partnerships, as well as driving community engagement programs that will support the growth and sustainability of Kitara FC. Kasozi is legal practitioner and previously served as the club chairman having replaced Godfrey Bamwenda in July 2022.
When he opted out, he was replaced by Gilbert Nyaika.
Kitara FC have already retained their coaching staff that was at the helm last season with Wasswa Bbosa and George William Lutalo signing two year employment contracts each and also named Yusuf Ssenyonjo as their goalkeeping coach replacing Richard Kansole.
