David Bagoole “Tong Po” has completed a move to Lugazi FC on a two year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Bagoole has been a free agent after running out of contract at Wakiso Giants, a team he played for last season.
Bagoole brings experience to the Lugazi team and is expected to add quality heading into the upcoming season.
Widely nicknamed ‘Tong Po’ after his famous haircut, Bagoole was a transfer target for several clubs in the CECAFA and COSAFA region before signing for Lugazi FC.
He has previously played for Vipers SC, BUL FC, Busoga United, SC Villa, Jinja North United, Sofapaka in Kenya and CD Bukavu Dawa in DR Congo among others.
He also had a stint in Seychelles with La Passe FC in 2016.
He becomes the umpteeth signing of Lugazi FC following Billy Wabwire, Igama Allan Batali, Muhammad Kakooza, Amos Etoju, Adam Mutesasira, Solomon Okwalinga, Edrine Owachgiu Jr, Dauson Mafumu, Yusuf Mafabi and Paul Busolo.
The club will be under the stewardship of Francis Mugerwa and Steven Bogere who have been assigned as co-coaches.
