Vipers SC still expect Allan Okello to stay at the club amid more speculation surrounding a move away from the Kitende based side.

Swift Sports Uganda understand that Vipers SC are baffled by the sudden speculation that Okello could leave in this transfer window and insist it is highly unlikely their starman will leave.

Algerian side USM Alger, Pyramids FC of Egypt and Tanzania’s Simba SC are all interested in signing the Vipers’ playmaker.

Okello is under contract at Vipers SC until 2026 and the club has the option of an additional year.

Okello led Vipers to the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup double last season.

He finished as the Uganda Premier League top scorer last term with 19 goals.

Okello joined the seven time Uganda Premier League champions in August 2023 on a three year employment contract. He has previously featured for KCCA FC and Algeria’s AC Paradou.

At the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, Okello finished as Uganda’s top scorer with three goals.

On Monday, Okello returned to Vipers SC training along with Enock Ssebaggala, Rogers Torach, Yunus Sentamu, Abdul Karim Watambala, Hillary Mukundane and Denis Kiggundu following after their historic CHAN campaign with the national team.
