Aucho, Mukwala added in Uganda Cranes Squad to face Mozambique and Somalia

Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho and Steven Mukwala have been included in the Uganda Cranes team to face Mozambique and Somalia in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The development was confirmed on Saturday via FUFA social media platforms.

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put on Wednesday named 28 players to begin preparations for the two matches.

On the same day, Put explained that he had not summoned Aucho since he was still working on his club future.

The addition of Aucho and Mukwala brings the total to 30 players with the duo expected to report to the camp on Monday.

Meanwhile, the team will start assembling tomorrow at the FUFA Hotel in Kisaasi led by the 11 CHAN players.

Uganda who will host Mozambique on September, 5th before taking on Somalia on 8th September are currently fourth in Group G with nine points.
