Denis Onyango has arrived in the country ahead of Uganda Cranes training session due on Monday at Mandela National Stadium.
Onyango made a surprise return to international duties four years after his retirement.
This website has established that the shot-stopper will take part in Monday’s training session at Namboole due at (3Pm).
Goalkeeper Salim Omar Jamal Magoola who returns to the Cranes fold for the first time since 2023 is expected to join the Cranes camp tonight. The team will camp at FUFA Hotel in Kisaasi ahead of the two home games.
Eleven local based players Allan Okello, Joel Mutakubwa, Reagan Mpande, Herbert Achayi, Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Hillary Mukundane, Joel Sserunjogi, Rogers Torach, Abdul Karim Watambala, Patrick Jonah Kakande and Jude Ssemugabi have all checked in for the two games.
Kenneth Semakula (Al Arabi SC), Travis Mutyaba (CS Sfaxien, Tunisia), Joseph Mpande (PVF Cand FC, Vietnam), Denis Omedi (APR FC, Rwanda),Uchechukwu Ikpeazu, Ronald Ssekiganda (APR FC, Rwanda) are some of the foreign based players in camp.
Nafian Alionzi, Rogers Mato, Elio Capradossi are the other players expected to join the camp today.
Uganda who will host Mozambique on September, 5th before taking on Somalia on 8th September are currently fourth in Group G with nine points.
