Mandela returns to Vipers for third stint

Ashraf Mandela has returned to seven time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC.

The right back has put pen to paper on a three year employment contract with the Kitende based side.

“It feels great to be back home again. Vipers has always been special to me, and I am ready to give my best for the team and the fans,” Mandela said as quoted by the club website.

He has for the previous season been featuring for Rwanda Premier league side Police FC.

Mandela also featured for SC Villa in the 2018/19 season before crossing over to URA FC where he spent three years.

In 2022, he returned to Vipers winning two league titles and one Stanbic Uganda Cup as well as helping the team qualify for the group stages of the CAF Champions League.

He will compete for a starting slot with Grant Matsiko and experienced Nico Wakiro Wadada.

Robin Kane Hney, Mark Yallah, Taddeo Lwanga, Odili Chukwuma, Kevin Dasylva Bady, and Enock Ssebaggala are the other new signings at Vipers SC.
