Uganda Cranes defender Geoffrey Wasswa has joined Fasil Kenema Sport Club after spending two years at Ethiopian Coffee. He joins the new side on a two year employment contract.
Wasswa joined Ethiopian Coffee in 2023 as a free agent following expiration of his contract at KCCA FC.
He also previously featured for Vipers SC and SC Villa before he crossed to KCCA FC.
The central defender who also ably plays in central midfield left Vipers in 2020 and joined SC Villa where he featured for a short spell before joining KCCA FC at the start of the 2021/22 season.
At Vipers SC, the versatile player won two league titles and a Uganda trophy.
He is also a product of St.Mary’s Kitende and joined Vipers senior team from the Junior team at the start of the 2015/16 season.
His new side is also known as Fasil City, based in Gondar, Amhara Region. They play in the Ethiopian Premier League, the top division of football in Ethiopia.
