The Algerian Football Federation has announced that Baghdad Bounedjah and Youcef Belaili will not take part in Algeria’s final game against Uganda.
Bounedjah suffered a knee injury during the previous game against Somalia while Belaili picked a muscle injury in the same encounter.
Both players have been granted permission to leave the national team’s camp to embark on their recovery with their respective clubs.
Belaili currently features for Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis whereas Bounedjah plays for Al Shamal in Qatar.
Algeria who have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, will be hoping to end their campaign on a high while Uganda wants victory so as to finish among the four best second placed teams.
The Desert Foxes will host the Uganda Cranes at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou City on Tuesday 14th October at 7pm.
