Vipers SC will take on Zambia’s Power Dynamos in the first leg of the CAF Champions league second preliminary round under the lights of St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Sunday.

Power Dynamos arrived in Uganda on Friday ahead of the final qualification phase of the CAF champions league.

The Zambian side will be without the duo of Dominic Chanda who is ruled out due to suspension, while Lawrence Mulenga is out through illness.

“Changes will be there. We have no Dominic Chanda in the team he got a red card in Abidjan. We equally have no Lawrence Mulenga, who is unwell, so those will be some of the changes that we make,” Said Power Dynamos’ head coach Oswald Mutapa said.

Despite the challenges, the Power Dynamos coach insists his team remains confident.

“The confidence should be there, but the game against ASEC is water under the bridge. We have to give Vipers the respect they deserve but also focus on getting a result. If we get a result in Uganda, then we’ll be talking about progressing to the next round.” He added

Vipers SC eliminated Namibia’s African Stars while Power Dynamos overcame Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas in the previous round.
