The 2025 Uganda Handball National League came to climax over the weekend at the Old Kampala Sports Arena.
UPDF were crowned as the Men’s league champions while Police won the women’s title for 2025 season respectively.
UPDF managed a total of 32 points to better second placed Prisons who had 28 points.
Police were third in the men’s category with 21 points while Uzalendo were fourth placed with 18 points on the log of 9 teams.
There were some games played on the final day with Makerere University overcoming Evergreen 35-30 while champions UPDF cruised 52-43 past Prisons
Meanwhile in the women’s category, Police were the league winners despite suffering a 34-30 defeat to Prisons on the final day ending their unbeaten run.
Kyengeze Bees narrowly defeated Victoria University 30-29 in the other women’s contest.
This is Police Women Handball Club third fifth title in row having finished top of the log with 34 points, five adrift of Prisons in the league sponsored by Uganda Handball Federation.
