Kenyan Premier League champions Police FC have announced the appointment of former SC Villa head coach Serbian coach Stojanovic Dusan as their new coach.

The Serb was officially unveiled before the media on Sunday evening at the club’s Police Sacco Stadium, following their goalless stalemate with Posta Rangers.

He replaces Burundian Etienne Ndayiragije at Police FC and promised to deliver the club’s targets.

“We can promise that we will always work hard and we will never give up but always fight for what is our target and goal. Thank you for coming over here and I hope we will be in good relations,” the former SC Villa head coach said as quoted by Capital Sport.

Ndayiragije, who led Police to their first league title last season, left the club on Monday, 27 October after in the aftermath of the team’s disappointing exit from the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League losing 4-1 on aggregate to Sudan’s Al Hilal.

Dusan has African football experience, having guided Ugandan side SC Villa to their 17th league title during the 2023/24 season.

He has also served as an assistant at Egyptian giants Zamalek under compatriot Milutin Sredojevic and Belgian coach Yannick Ferrera.
