NEC 1-1 BUL: Kaddu denied winning start as new era begins with draw

Badru Kaddu had to settle for a point in his first game as NEC FC head coach after Jerome Kiirya cancelled out Joseph Dhata’s opener in an end-to-end 1-1 Premier League draw at MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday.

Dhata put the home side into the lead in the 27th minute of the contest at Lugogo before Kiirya levelled matters in the additional time of the first half.

BUL moved to fourth place with 10 points same as Entebbe UPPC and SC Villa.

The Abbey Kikomeko coached side also remains unbeaten since their 2-0 defeat to UPDF FC in December last year, they have now gone 25 matches without defeat.

Meanwhile, Lugazi FC returned to winning ways with a 5-2 win over Buhimba United Saints in the other game played on Saturday.

Buhimba have now lost three games in a row conceding 11 goals and are now sixth with 9 points while Lugazi is 9th with 8 points.
