It is now a total of three Uganda Premier League coaches who have part ways with their clubs this season, so far, with two coming this week.

Tuesday morning seeing second bottom of the table Mbarara City sack Simon Peter Mugerwa following their 4-1 away defeat to Express on Wednesday last week.

Mugerwa managed to collect two points, two draws and lost four games during his tenure at the Ankole Lions.

On Monday 10th November, Calvary head coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera part ways with the club after five games into their debut season in the topflight.

Kintu left the club citing struggles on and off the pitch with sources revealing is set to replace Badru Kaddu Mukasa at Express FC.

Last week, NEC FC confirmed that they had fired their head coach Hussein Mbalangu who guided the side to the 2024 Stanbic Uganda Cup final and helped them finish second on the League table in their only second season in the topflight last campaign.

Mbalangu was replaced by Kaddu but both Mbarara City and Calvary FC are yet to confirm replacements for their coaches. The league is currently in the recess due to the November international break with Uganda set to face CHAN and Morocco.
