Uganda Cranes will make a return to the Africa Cup of Nations this December and are in Group C alongside two former African champions.
In Group C, Uganda will lock horns with Nigeria, neighbours Tanzania and 2004 champions Tunisia.
During the November international break, Uganda played two games against Chad and 2025 AFCON host nation Morocco.
Uganda beat Chad 2-1 in their first game before falling to Morocco 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Uganda’s first 2025 AFCON opponents Tunisia also had two games in the window beating Jordan 3-2 in the first friendly on November 14th 2025, thanks to goals from OG Nice defender Ali Abdi, Lorient’s Montassar Talbi and FC Copenhagen forward Elias Achouri.
They drew 1-1 with five time World Champions Brazil in their final friendly match with Hazem Mastouri scoring their goal before Estevao levelled matters for Brazil.

Uganda’s other opponents Nigeria were in the World Cup playoff beating Gabon in the semifinal 4-1 before losing to DR Congo in the final on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Against Gabon Victor Osimhen, Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke were the scorers for the Super Eagles as they cruised on Thursday, November 13th 2025.
In the final defeat, Frank Onyeka gave them an early lead before Elia Meschack levelled matters for the Leopards.
Tanzania’s Taifa Stars played one game during the November break, losing 4-3 to Kuwait.
Charles M’Mombwa scored a brace for Taifa Stara with Rochdale midfielder Tarryn Allarakhia striking the other goal.
Uganda Cranes will kick off their Afcon campaign against Tunisia on 23rd December before facing off with Tanzania on 27th of the same month.
The Cranes will conclude their Afcon group C campaign against Osimhen’s Nigeria on 30th December, 2025.
