Edinah Wanda Nasipwondi became the first player to score a hat trick in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League this season.
Wanda scored thrice as Amus College beat Makerere University 3-0 at the Amus College Stadium in Bukedea on Sunday.
Wanda flawlessly opened the scores in the 4th minute of the game following a counter attack situation.
She doubled the lead in stoppage time of the first half with a tap in from Dorine Wandera’s cross before making it 3-0 from the penalty in the 59th minute.
The hat trick took her tally to five goals, one behind the current top scorer Kamiyat Naigaga of Kampala Queens.
Victory took Amus College to 12 points in the 5th place while defeat left Makerere University 9th with six points from eight games.
Amus College will visit Rines SS WFC in their next game on Saturday 29th while Makerere University will host Lady Doves on the same day.
