Kawempe Muslim Ladies duo of forward Agnes Nabukenya and head coach Ayubu Khalifa Kiyingi were crowned as the Finance Trust Bank Player and Coach of the Month of November.
The duo claimed their awards on Tuesday during a ceremony held at the Finance Trust Bank head office in Kampala.
The event was graced by the Finance Trust Bank’s Chief Operations Officer Sarah Gwokyalya.
Ayubu beat off stiff competition from Kampala Queens’ head coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal to clinch the coaching gong.
He led Kawempe Muslim to four wins in four matches, cementing their position at the top of the Finance Trust Women Super League table with 25 points, five ahead of their closest rivals.
During the same period, Asefa’s side managed three wins from four outings.
Last season’s MVP Nabukenya was named player of the month having scored four goals and winning two Player of the Match awards in November.
She overcame her teammate Saidat Namwanje, who kept three clean sheets, and Kampala Queens forward Catherine Nagadya, who also notched four goals.
Nabukenya and Kiyingi were both rewarded with Shs500000 and a winners accolade courtesy of Finance Trust Bank.
