Vipers SC head coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert made five changes from Saturday’s 1-1 stalemate with title challengers SC Villa on Tuesday against UPDF FC.
Despite the changes, the Venoms thrashed UPDF FC 5-1 under the lights of Kitende.
Milton Karisa, Gusto Mulongo, Robin Kane Hney, Taddeo Lwanga, Livingstone Mulongo replaced Yunus Sentamu, Abdul Karim Watambala, Enock Luyima, Marvin Youngman and Rogers Torach.
Milton Karisa opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a cool tap in after being fed by Mulongo.
Mulongo doubled Vipers advantage four minutes later before Samuel Ssekamatte pulled one back for the visitors with a sensational free kick strike.
At the stroke of halftime, Mulongo completed his brace nodding home a Usama Arafat cross.
Robin and second half substitute Moses Waiswa added the other goals in the 56th and 75th minute respectively.
Vipers move to third place with 16 points in six matches one adrift of leaders KCCA FC and SC Villa while the Army side are 14th with just six points in eight matches. Vipers next visit NEC FC on Friday at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Friday, December 5th 2025.
