Vipers SC will be aiming to go top of the Uganda Premier League when they visit NEC FC under the lights of Lugogo on Friday.
The Venoms have won five of their six league games this season and are the only side yet to suffer defeat.
NEC on the other hand have managed just two wins, lost as many and drawn four in the eight games they have so far played.
Vipers come into this contest after their 5-1 humbling of UPDF FC in their previous game and will go top of the table with maximum points at NEC FC.
The hosts NEC FC are currently in the bottom half of the table with 10 points but their head coach Badru Kaddu Mukasa believes his charges can challenge the champions.
“We have improved the boys and we are ready for the game. We have worked on putting away chances which have been our major problem this season.” Said Kaddu
Last season, NEC beat Vipers 3-1 at the same venue before the Venoms revenged at Kitende with a similar result.
Kaddu’s side will be without Daniel Shabena, Titus Ssematimba, Muzamir Mutyaba while Siraje Ssentamu is to also miss the contest against his former paymasters.
In the other game on Friday, Lugazi FC will visit UPDF FC at Bombo Military Grounds at 4PM.
