The organisers of the prestigious awards rewarded the outstanding performers for the month of November at the ceremony held on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo.
Former Uganda Cranes and SC Villa attacker Hakim Magumba was among those recognized at the Fortebet Real Stars Awards.
Magumba won the Lifetime Achievement award for his tremendous service to the game of football.
The SC Villa legend who also featured for Atraco FC hailed the organizers for the special recognition.
“It is my gratitude to the organizers, but it is also a good platform for me to appreciate everyone that helped me to settle in the game of football. I will start from my parents who allowed me to play the game before getting support from many, the administrators to mention Isa Magoola, the four presidents I played across their leaderships, from Twaha Kakaire, Denis Obua to game changer Lawrence Mulindwa and the current one Moses Magago.” Said Magumba
Meanwhile, James Bogere who excelled at the U17 FIFA World Cup has been named as the player of November.
Bogere netted two goals at the showpiece with his goals coming against Canada and France. He beat Uganda Cubs captain Hamza Ssengooba and Saidat Namwanje of Kawempe Muslim Ladies to the football gong.
Golfer Joseph Cwinya-Ai won the golf accolade after overcoming Joseph Kamulindwa and Meron Kemigisha.
Cwinya-ai is the Uganda national team captain and won the men’s amateur gross titles at the 27th edition of the Kinyara Golf Open.
At the event held in Masindi, Cwinya-ai recorded 214 (+1) in 54 holes to claim the title.
In the performing Sportsmen category, swimmer Gloria Muzito who won the World Islamic Solidarity Games clinched the November accolade beating athletes Rebecca Chellangat and Samuel Cherop.
The winners were rewarded with winners accolades and cash prizes courtesy of Fortebet and Jude Color solutions.
