Striker Gerald Ogweti scored the lone goal as Bunyaruguru United beat Catda FC 1-0 in the FUFA Big League at Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi.
Ogweti’s all important goal came as early as the 14th minute and ultimately proved the difference at full-time.
Coming into the encounter, Catda were the only unbeaten side remaining in the Big League having played out seven draws and won thrice in their first 10 games of the campaign.
Ogweti’s goal took his tally to five goals, three behind the current leading scorer Jimmy Ndalambi of Kiyinda Boys.
Victory elevated Bunyaruguru United to the 5th place, one behind the promotion places, having garnered 18 points from 11 games played.
Catda dropped to the 8th place with 16 points accumulated from 11 games played.
