Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put named six players who feature in the Uganda Premier League in his 28 final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Last season’s league top scorer Allan Okello (Vipers SC) who netted 19 goals is in the squad along with Ivan Ahimbisibwe.

Okello will make his AFCON debut at the 2025 edition

Ahimbisibwe who last season played for URA finished with 16 league goals behind Okello. This season as a KCCA FC player he has so far struck five league goals.

SC Villa’s Reagan Mpande had an impressive 2024 CHAN tournament hosted in East Africa also makes the cut.

Vipers duo of Hilary Mukundane and Rogers Torach who partnered together in defence for the Cranes CHAN team are also in the final squad along with KCCA FC winger Shafik Nana Kwikiriza.
