The 2025 National Open Pool Championship will officially climax on Sunday, 21st December 2025 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The winners in both the men’s and women’s categories will drive away a brand new Subaru.
Reigning Men’s champion Mansoor Bwanika is optimistic he can retain the title he won last year.
“I won the title last year and I hope I can clinch it again this year. This year I believe I am more focused and better than I was last year, so I am ready to defend the title.” Said Bwanika

Bwanika was drawn against 2015 Champion Amos Ndyagumanawe in the first round of the 2025 Men’s Championship. Last year, he beat Ibrahim Ssejjemba to the title.
The men’s category has attracted over 128 participants this year including former champions in Ceaser Chandiga and Alfred Gumikiriza.

Chandiga and Gumikiriza will play a race to 5 before the semis where they will play a race to 7 and then the final will be a race to 9.
Meanwhile, Marion Kisakye last year’s winner in the women’s category will battle with 31 others for this year’s title.
