The FUFA Drum resumed on Saturday, 10th January with match-day six in Group A and C respectively.
In Group A, second placed West Nile faced off with group leaders Acholi in the epic contest on Saturday.
West Nile smiled to a 2-0 win over Acholi thanks to goals from Joel Jangeyambe and Ejosiga Mudasir.
Victory takes West Nile to nine points same as Acholi in Group A while Bugisu remain pointless. Both West Nile and Acholi progress to the quarterfinals of the prestigious competition.
Meanwhile in Group C, Bunyoro and Kigezi shared spoils in a 1-1 draw in the other game played on Saturday.
Byaruhanga JB gave Bunyoro the lead two minutes to halftime breather before Alex Mandela levelled matters for Kigezi in the 83rd minute.
Bunyoro and Kigezi are both on five points but the latter is second in the group due to a better goal difference. Busoga are top of the Group also with five points.
Action will resume on Sunday with two games in Group B and D. Lango will take on Ankole in a group B encounter at Booma Ground while Kampala welcome Teso at Muteesa II Stadium in a Group D contest.
