Defender Halid Lwaliwa joins new club in the Middle East

Uganda Cranes defender Halid Lwaliwa has completed a move to the Oman Premier League after signing for Al Shabab SC.

Lwaliwa has been a free agent since the end of the previous season when he parted ways with Saudi Arabia’s second tier side Al Ain Club.

The former Vipers captain will now feature in the Oman Premier League following the announcement of his transfer on Tuesday.

His new club Al Shabab SC, finished 6th on the table last season and will be striving to end the current campaign on a high.

Al Shabab SC are currently third on the Oman Pro League table with 21 points from the nine games played so far.

Lwaliwa previously played for Bregalnica Stip in North Macedonia before joining Al Ain in 2024.

Internationally, Lwaliwa has 39 national team caps with the Uganda Cranes with one goal which came against South Sudan in 2020.
