Alex Isabirye Musongola’s BUL FC will lock horns with SC Villa in the league contest due on Friday at the FUFA technical center in Njeru.
The Eastern Giants will be without the trio of Jerome Kirya, Pascal Ngobi and Nicholas Mwere.
BUL FC beat Calvary 1-0 in their previous league game while SC Villa edged their bitter rivals Express FC with a similar result.
Victory will send the Jogoos to the top of the league table but their head coach Zeljko Kovacevic expects a tough contest at BUL FC.
“BUL is a good team despite having bad results in the first ten games. But should be difficult game on artificial grass and everything but I know we have shown and prepared well and we hope to play good game,” Said Kovacevic before adding,
“We have to play a game with high intensity and maybe that will give us edge but the game will be difficult.”
Isabirye who kick started his third tenure at BUL asserts that his side will have to use the home advantage to overcome the 17 time league champions whom he played for as player.
“I am very sure that while at home we are going to improve game by game but if we do that then we need to start winning against Villa.” The game against SC Villa won’t be easy, I know they have had a good run while we have struggling.” Said Isabirye
BUL currently lies in 9tb place on the Uganda Premier League log with 13 points, just three above relegation zone
BUL has managed five wins against SC Villa in their previous ten meetings with the Jogoos claiming three wins and two draws. BUL has lost only once at home to Villa in the past 7 matches.
