Gladys ZAWEDDE
Right back Derrick Ngobi has completed a move to Rwandan side Gasogi United FC .
He has been a free agent having left Express FC at the start of the ongoing UPL season and has put pen to paper on a one year employment contract.
Ngobi is a versatile player who can ably play as a centre back but also as a roving right back.
Kikyusa FC, Luweero United, Soltilo Bright Stars, Sofapaka in Kenya and Express FC (two stints) are his previous sides.
He also featured for Bulemeezi in the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament.
Gasogi United is also home for former SC Villa and Gaddafi striker Faizo Kazibwe.
Ngobi has today featured in the club’s friendly game with Marine FC that ended in a two all draw.
The Kigali based outfit is currently 10th on the Rwanda Premier League table with 22 points from the 17 games played so far.
