Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City has confirmed the suspension of four players over indiscipline.
The club stated that the four players were suspended due to behavior that is deemed unprofessional and inconsistent with the values of the club.
The players suspended are Kitegenyi Henry, Thembo Ibrahim, Wafula Innocent and Fahad Emuran.
“The club management has decided to impose an indefinite suspension on the four players due to behavior that is deemed unprofessional and inconsistent with the values of the club. Their actions have compromised the integrity of the team and brought the club’s reputation into question, which we take very seriously.We hold our players to the highest standards of conduct both on and off the field, and this type of behavior does not align with our commitment to professionalism and respect for the footballing community. The club will continue to monitor the situation and work toward resolving this matter.

However this website has established that the four players along with others told the club that they were not to feature for the club until their four month salaries are settled.
Mbarara City had only eleven players during their goalless stalemate with Lugazi FC on Saturday, 24th January at Kamwenge. The Ankle Lions are currently in the bottom three on the UPL table with 11 points.
