Venoms humble Cops at Kitende

Vipers SC humbled in form Police FC 4-1 under the lights of St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Tuesday.

The Venoms needed goals from Milton Karisa, Abdul Karim Watambala, Odili Chukwuma and Usama Arafat while Saidi Kyeyune got a consolation for the Cops.

Karisa broke the deadlock two minutes after the half-hour mark when he finished off a sensational Watambala through ball.

Four minutes to halftime breather, in form Watambala got his goal of the contest before Chukwuma stretched Vipers lead at the stroke of the first period.

Kyeyune pulled one back for the visitors moments after the recess when his low shot beat Vipers custodian Alfred Mudekereza.

Usama completed the scoring when he headed home a perfect Yunus Sentamu cross.

Vipers could have scored more with Sentamu, Gusto Mulongo and Usama all having decent scoring chances. The Venoms smiled to maximum points and are now top of the table with 33 points while Police are third with 27 points.
