Third Division side Booma FC have appointed Ibrahim Kyobe as their new head coach, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kyobe has been tasked by the Kitara Region based side to guide them to the FUFA Big League.
Last season, Booma was one of the clubs that were relegated from the FUFA Big league after finishing bottom of the table with 16 points they garnered in 28 games.
This website has established that the club management is ready to invest in the team in the bid to return to the second tier of Ugandan football.
Kyobe is former Paidha Black Angels coach were he served in the first round of the FUFA Big League last season.
He has also previously served in the capacity of assistant coach at Gomba in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup at Gomba in 2004, 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Besides Gomba, Kyobe also worked as assistant coach at Buluuli in 2011, Buwekula in 2012 and was among Ibrahim Kirya’s assistants at Buddu in 2022 and at Bulemeezi. Last year, he was part of Buweekula coaching staff.
His new side Booma has been pitted against Bunyaruguru United FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64.
