Kitara FC prevailed to a narrow 1-0 win over Express FC during their league game contest at Royals Park in Butema on Wednesday.

Patrick Henry Kaddu scored the all important goal for the Royals who returned to winning ways after a 3-3 stalemate with NEC FC.

The Red Eagles who were impressive against Buhimba United Saints in their previous game travelled to Hoima with only 14 players.

Kaddu gave the hosts the lead in the 56th minute and his goal was the only difference for the two sides.

John Bosco Byaruhanga came close to doubling the lead for Wasswa Bbosa’s men in the 65th minute but failed to hit the target.

Kitara maximized points and are now sixth on the table with 26 points in 13 matches while Express are 10th with 15 points in 14 matches.

Elsewhere, SC Villa shred embattled Mbarara City 6-1 in the other game played on Wednesday at FUFA Kadiba Stadium.
