Vipers SC humbled Buhimba United Saints 4-0 during their league contest at Kitende on Friday.
The Venoms needed goals from skipper Milton Karisa ( brace), in form Abdul Karim Watambala and Abubakali Walusimbi goals to cruise past Buhimba.
Karisa gave the home side the lead in the opening minute after being fed by Nigerian winger Odili Chukwuma before Watambala doubled their lead.
Chukwuma also assisted Watambala who nodded in his four goal in three matches.
Six minutes to the halftime breather, Karisa completed his brace with Usama Arafat providing the skipper.
Walusimbi completed the scoring with the fourth goal for the hosts who are now top of the table with 36 points, six above second and third placed Entebbe UPPC and KCCA FC.
Buhimba United is 12th with 13 points they have collected in the first round. Both sides will turn focus on next week’s Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 fixtures.
