Lugazi FC goalkeeper Juma Mutebi is set to join another Uganda Premier league side NEC FC.
Mutebi is expected to fill the void left by experienced goalie Benjamin Ochan whose employment contract expired in January. Mutebi joined Lugazi FC at the start of the 2024/2025 season.
He is to put pen to paper on a two year deal with the Bugolobi based side.
Mutebi started his career at Aspire Soccer Academy in 2014 before joining Joswill Soccer Academy the following year.
He represented Nakaseke International College and Kawempe Muslim SS in different schools competitions before playing for Kibuli SS.
He later joined Ntugasaze FC in January 2022. The gifted goalkeeper played nine games for the club in the second round of the 2021/22 season of the Buganda regional league. He then joined KCCA FC before joining Lugazi.
