Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru used 25 minutes to score on his debut for Ross County in a 1-0 win over Queen’s Park FC in the Scottish Championship on Tuesday night.

Uche came off in the 65th minute to replace James Scott and scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.

The stocky Uganda Cranes striker joined Ross County from fellow Scottish Championship (2nd tier) tier St. Johnstone on the transfer deadline day on Monday.

He left St. Johnstone after one and half seasons having scored four goals and one assist in the 25 games he played.

Uche’s late winner elevated Ross County from the bottom of the table to the 9th place on 22 points after 23 games played.

Queen’s Park FC consequently dropped to the bottom place (10th) of the table on 21 points from 22 games played.

Ross County will renew acquaintances with Queen’s Park FC on 14th February in their subsequent league game as the struggle for survival continues.
