KCCA FC are in negotiations to renew the contracts of midfielder Joel Sserunjogi and versatile defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri according to FUFA TV’s The Sportlight Show.
Both players will be out of contract at the end of the season and KCCA FC have swiftly made a move to have renewals in place.
Sserunjogi joined KCCA in 2023 from Kajjansi United on a three year contract consequently proved to be an important player for the club.
Kizito joined the Lugogo based outfit as a free agent rivals SC Villa at the start of the 2024/25 season on a two year contract.
A move to get Sserunjogi a new contract is also meant to fend off Vipers’ reported interest in signing him at the end of the season.
Sserunjogi has played a total of 63 Uganda Premier League games across the two and half seasons scoring one goal and seven assists.
Kizito, who has played a total of 31 league games so far, is also reportedly linked to a possible move back to the diaspora.
