Butambala Ssaza team has appointed Arthur Kyesimira as their Technical director for the 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kyesimira is currently at Uganda Premier League entity NEC FC and has previously worked at BUL FC, SC Villa and served on the Uganda U-17 and U-20 junior teams’ technical staff.
Butambala have also appointed Eddy Ssenkaali has their head coach replacing Paul Kiwanuka who was at the helms last year.
Butambala is one of the teams yet to win the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organised competition along with Kyaggwe, Buvuma and Ssese.
Meanwhile, according to the Kingdom’s Sports calendar the 2026 Masaza Cup tourney will be launched on 10th June and will officially kickoff on the 13th of the same month.
The final of the 2026 prestigious event will be played on 31st October, 2026 as by the Buganda Kingdom Sports calendar.
Buweekula are the reigning competition champions following their historic 1-0 win over two time winners Ssingo.
