Vipers outclass Pajule Lions to reach Stanbic Uganda Cup last 16

Reigning Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC have secured a place in the round of 16 after thrashing Pajule Lions 6-0 in the round of 32 at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

In form duo of Abdul Karim Watambala and Milton Karisa netted a brace apiece with Usama Arafat and Gusto Mulongo adding the other goals for the Venoms.

Watambala gave the four time Uganda Cup champions the lead in the 6th minute before Usama doubled their advantage in the 21st minute.

Watambala completed his brace in the 33rd minute after Nicholas Wadada’s effort had hit the crossbar.

Karisa made it four through his spectacular free kick goal at the stroke of halftime.

Karisa was also on target

In the second period, Karisa and substitute Gusto Mulongo added the other two goals as the Venoms marched on to the last 16.

Vipers joins KCCA FC and Kitara who beat Mbarara City and Entebbe UPPC respectively in the round of 16.
