Nine-time Stanbic Uganda Cup champions SC Villa secured a place in the last 16 after eliminating BUL FC under the lights of FUFA Kadiba Stadium on Wednesday.
The Jogoos needed a 4-3 shootout win after an entertaining two-all draw in normal time of their round of 32 contest.
Reagan Mpande gave SC Villa an early lead in the 4th minute of the game when he struck from the spot before Reagan Kalyowa levelled matters at the stroke of halftime.
BUL took the lead moments after the recess when Richard Okello punished goalkeeper David Lukwago for his howler.
The hosts restored parity through their starman Patrick Jonah Kakande in the 63rd minute after being fed by fellow substitute Ibrahim Kasinde.
During the shootout, SC Villa scored four while BUL managed three as the Jogoos kept their silverware hopes alive.
