The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has suspended seven match officials over officiating incidents in SC Villa Vs Express FC and Buhimba United Saints Vs Police FC.
According to a statement from FUFA, the Referees Standing Committee (FRSC) has reviewed recent officiating incidents and referred the following officials to the FUFA Referees Disciplinary Panel (FRDP).
The officials are: AR1 Immaculate Ongiera (SC Villa vs Express FC on 7th March 2026), Referee Musisi Henry, AR1 Mbabali Samuel, AR2 Kinyera Fred, 4th Official Semakula John, Assessor Hillary Kimbugwe and GC Kugonza Christopher (Buhimba United Saints FC vs Police FC on 17th February 2026)
“These officials are suspended from future appointments pending the FRDP hearing. The FRSC demands high standards from referees by applying the Laws of the Game correctly and will take action against those who compromise the game’s integrity.”Read the statement.
During the SC Villa Vs Express FC contest on Saturday at FUFA Kadiba Stadium, assistant referee Immaculate Ongiera ruled Hassan Mubiru’s goal the stroke of halftime offside but videos showed he was onside before slotting home after receiving a pass inside the box.
