SC Villa could welcome back forward Charles Lwanga for their Uganda Premier League game over Police FC at Kira Road Arena on Tuesday, 10th March 2026.

Lwanga’s agents recently claimed that the striker has been sidelined after declining to renew his contract, alleging the club’s stance is aimed at lowering his market value ahead of a potential move abroad.

According to the club website, Lwanga could make a return against the Cops whom he scored a late winner in the first round at FUFA Kadiba Stadium.

The Jogoos come into Tuesday’s game after a frustrating goalless draw against arch-rivals Express FC in the Kampala derby.

Police FC on the other hand suffered a 2-1 defeat against KCCA FC in their previous league game.

SC Villa midfielder Diego Semugera revealed the importance of the fixture

“We understand the task ahead. We know we need to win tomorrow’s game to close the points gap at the top. They are playing at home and it will be a tight fixture, but we need the points more.”

Head coach Zeljko Kovacevic aims for glory

“We dropped points at home in our previous game, which means tomorrow’s game is the one to go for.” Stated the Serbian tactician

SC Villa could move into second place with maximum points against Matia Lule’s Police FC.

In the last ten encounters, seven matches have ended in stalemates while SC Villa have won three. Police FC are yet to maximize points against the record league champions.
