Kitara FC will be seeking to close the gap on table leaders Vipers SC when they host their Bunyoro rivals Buhimba United Saints on Friday.

The game will be the first ever competitive fixture to be held at the newly constructed Hoima City stadium.

Kitara had a chance to play in the stadium during the official opener against KCCA FC which was played on 24th December, last year.

Wasswa Bbosa’s Royals are second on the table with 43 points and come into this contest back of a narrow 1-0 win over Mbarara City in their previous game.

Buhimba who beat Kitara in the first round meeting are also desperate for points in the bid to stay in the topflight.

They are currently 14th place on the log with 15 points, just two above the red zone. They lost 1-0 to BUL in their most recent game.

Kitara’s Edson Agondeze will be in the spotlight as he will be facing his former paymasters. The forward joined Kitara from Buhimba during the mid-season window.

Meanwhie, BUL will visit Mbarara City while Police welcome NEC lock horns at Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya in the other games on Friday.
