Record Buganda Masaza Cup winners Gomba Ssaza have named their management team for 2026 tournament.
The appointments were made by Gomba Ssaza Kitunzi Fred Williams Mugabi who named several experienced administrators on the committee.
Dan Mwesigye will serve as the team patron while Jane Namatovu is the chairperson.
Namatovu’s appointment makez her Gomba’s first ever female chairperson and she will work with Peter Wasswa and Swaibu Luzinda as first and assistant chairmen respectively.
“I am humbled to serve Gomba Ssaza football team as the chairperson. I thank the Kitunzi and ready to work hand in hand with the team members to deliver the best results for Gomba in the upcoming season” Namatovu remarked.
Namatovu is the Director of Kayabwe Pharmacy (cies) and Kayabwe Institute of Health Sciences in Kanoni.
Resty Namugema Mbatudde who has been serving as the public relations officer in the previous editions will now work as team manager.
Derrick Luliibe Nsubuga is the general secretary and Wilber Tebusweke is treasurer.
Ibrahim Bbosa is now in charge of public relations with Steven Yamulemye the safety and security officer.
Gomba has won a record five titles in the Buganda Masaza Football Cup competition with the triumps coming in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and 2020.
