KCCA FC will be aiming for a fifth consecutive Uganda Premier League win when they visit Lugazi FC this Saturday.
The Kasasiro boys won their previous fixture 3-0 against arch-rivals Express FC earlier this week.
They are desparate for points to keep the pressure on league leaders.
Lugazi FC, on the other hand find themselves at the other end of the table and will be desperate to use their home advantage to pull away from relegation.
In the reverse fixture earlier this season at Lugogo, both sides played out a goalless draw.
KCCA FC’s co-head coach Jackson Magera Kaddu anticipates a tough trip to Lugazi.
“Lugazi is a different side when playing at home, but our focus is on maintaining the intensity we showed against Express. We are in the business end of the season, and we cannot afford to drop points if we are to continue the hunt for top honours.”
KCCA FC is currently 3rd on the table with 42 points from 20 games, while hosts Lugazi FC are 12th with 18 points from the same number of games.
Hosts Lugazi FC have one win in the last six league matches. They have scored 2 goals and conceded 8 in the last six league matches.
They have also gone three league matches without a win and without a goal scored.
In the previous three meetings between the two sides, KCCA FC has won once, while Lugazi FC has never won against KCCA.
